Born with a hearing impairment, Lorano had to learn how to speak and read lips at an early age. She also struggled with math, which was her worst subject in school. But none of that stopped her from pursuing her dreams! In fact, it only made her stronger.
After graduating high school, LoranoCarter+Colorado attended Metropolitan State University of Denver where she studied business administration and marketing. While attending college, she started working as an intern for Nike’s headquarters in Oregon – a job that would eventually lead to a full-time position after graduation. Today, Lorano is responsible for overseeing all digital marketing initiatives for Nike North America’s Running category. Her impressive resume includes stints at other top companies such as Google and American Express.
At just 26 years old, Lorano has accomplished more than most people accomplish in their entire lives. And she shows no signs of slowing down! As Race Director for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Denver Half Marathon 5Ks, she is responsible for all aspects of the race – from marketing and communications to logistics and operations. Despite her young age, Lorano has a wealth of experience in event management and knows how to put on a successful race. She always goes above and beyond for her runners, ensuring that everyone has an enjoyable experience.
