British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that the lockdown will be extended until June 1. Addressing the nation, he said the seven-week ban could be eased but it was not time to end the lockdown.
Boris Johnson said that from June 1, some primary schools could be opened, some shops could be opened, some public places could be reopened from July 1 if conditions improve, but UK air travelers will face quarantine.
“People who can’t work from home can go to work, but don’t use public transport,” he said.
