If you drive a lot and are going to be using this car to commute to and from work, for example, you are likely going to want a car that gets the best gas mileage possible so as to save money. Gas can add up quickly and end up taking up a large part of your budget if you aren’t careful, so this is definitely something that is important to consider.
Price
Unfortunately, the exact car you want may not be in your price range. To avoid disappointment, make sure you know your budget and stick to it. If you are not paying up front, calculate the monthly payment so that you know whether or not you can afford it. When searching for cars, try filtering your search so that cars above your ideal price range don’t even pop up.
Where You Live
If you live in a warm and sunny place where it never snows, you can get by with just about any type of car and any type of tires. If you live in a mountainous or snowy place however, you are going to want to seriously consider getting a 4 wheel drive, or at very least investing in chains and snow tires which can add some extra cost to your new car.
Or perhaps you don’t live in a place with inclement weather, but your parents live over a mountain and you like to visit them often. Take your geographical location into account when deciding what type of car you are going to buy.
