The Country Where Thousands Of People Were Given Fake Coronavirus Test Results

Dhaka: Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc around the world. While the virus has had a profound effect on the entire world, there have also been a number of strange developments during the epidemic.Many conspiracy theories related to this virus were also born but a hospital in Bangladesh did just that where thousands of people were screened and caught with fake test reports.More than a dozen people, including the owner of a hospital in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, have been arrested for issuing fake certificates to thousands of patients stating without testing that they are not infected with the coronavirus.According to the BBC, the authorities in Bangladesh says that the number of people getting tested for coronavirus has dropped by almost 50% since the fake screening scandal came to light in the country.More than 18,000 tests were being conducted in the country at the end of June, but the number has dropped to about 10,000 in the past two weeks.Experts says that after the scandal, there is a lack of public confidence in testing.It should be noted that so far more than two lakh people have been infected with this virus in Bangladesh while 2618 people have also died due to it.The number of people infected with the coronavirus worldwide has exceeded 14.4 million, while so far more than 600,000 people have died due to the disease.
