Dr. Anthony Fauchi, an adviser to the US president and an epidemiologist, says the chances of eradicating the coronavirus are slim.
In an interview, Dr. Anthony Fauchi said that millions of people from all over the world enter the United States every day.
“Therefore, there is no possibility that the United States will be free of the coronavirus,” he said.
The adviser to the US president added that like other infections, the number of cases of coronavirus could decrease in the summer.
He said that even if there was a dramatic drop in cases of coronavirus in the United States in June and July, security measures would have to be maintained.
