Latest Nielsen Survey Shows US Consumers Have Little Interest In Sony’s PS Vita
According to a recent survey conducted by Nielsen, children between the ages of 6-12 would rather have a PSP than Sony’s latest handheld offering.
18% of those asked would prefer a PlayStation Portable compared to the 14% interested in the higher priced PS Vita. At 29% the Nintendo 3DS is the most wanted handheld item for children in that age group followed by the NDS.
The overall reception for handhelds among those 13 years old or older is less than impressive. 5% showed interest in the 3DS while 4% opted for a PS Vita.

For those in the 6-12 age group the Nintendo WiiU, Sony’s PS3 and Microsoft’s XBox 360 proved to be hot items while a smaller percentage of customers 13+ expressed interest in HD systems.
