Square Enix Teases Major Unveiling At E3 2013

E3 2013 may be over six months away but Square Enix is already building up hype for the event.

In a recent interview during the Paris Games Week, Technology Director Julien Merceron dropped a major tease regarding the Agni’s Philosophy: Final Fantasy real-time tech demo revealed earlier this year.

So, around June of next year, there will indeed something different around Agni’s Philosophy, which will be presented on perhaps different platforms as those which have been used before. I can not tell you more, I can tell you that …

When pressed further on whether the different platforms mentioned will be either Sony’s or Microsoft’s next hardware Juilen added:

I can tell you that it will not be on PC ONLY.

Since Agni’s Philosophy: Final Fantasy was publicly shown at this year’s E3 Square Enix has opened numerous job openings for work on an undisclosed project utilizing the same engine that the now famous tech demo is powered by.

With Julien’s comments and fresh rumors circulating around a possible PS4 unveiling next Summer it’s safe to assume that 2013 will be a interesting year for the future of video games.
