During its Quarterly Financial Results Report for the Fiscal Year Tecmo Koei revealed initial shipment numbers for the newest entry to the Dead or Alive series.
According to the report, Dead or Alive 5 has shipped 580,000 units worldwide in a month after its release. Tecmo Koei aims to sell 1 million copies of the fighter.
Tecmo Koei also reported favorable sales of many of its other titles released overseas, including One Piece Pirate Warriors, which was released exclusively for the PS3 in digital form in North America. In Europe the game is available both digitally and at retail.
Although the game sold close to a million copies in Japan at last check, the company did not provide sales data for One Piece Pirate Warriors in its latest report.
