Worldwide Sales Of The Assassin’s Creed Franchise Tops 40 Million

Ubisoft has a lot of reasons to celebrate this year.

Not only is Assassin’s Creed III the French company’s most preordered game in its history, dethroning Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, but sales of the entire 5 year old franchise has topped the 40 million mark.

Since 2007 Ubisoft has released a new entry to the series every year, with Assassin’s Creed III set to be the biggest yet.

Assassin’s Creed III is due out October 30th for the PS3, 360 and PC with the WiiU version coming soon after.  The PS3 edition of the game will feature exclusive Benedict Arnold content.

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation for the PS Vita is also debuting simultaneously with AC III.
