The December issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine reveals bits of new information surrounding Superbot Entertainment’s upcoming PlayStation brawler.
Two new rivalries were confirmed in the publication; Big Daddy and Sackboy are rivals because Big Daddy “flies into a rage when his Little Sister decides Sackboy is cuter than he is”, Kratos and Sweet Tooth are also rivals ( no reason given). Previous known rivals include Heihachi and Toro, Dante and Nariko.
There’s a screenshot of DmC Dante’s unlockable minion, Kat. Ratchet and Clank’s Captain Qwark will also be a minion for you-know-who. There’s also mention of a mode called Combat Trials ( seen below ) which features “short, character-specific challenges meant to teach new skills and put them to the test.”
While the entire launch roster is confirmed the identity of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale final boss remains one of the few secrets left to be revealed in the fighter. The only mention of the final boss in PTOM is the reiteration that it will be someone ”instantly recognizable to old-school PSone fans.”
With PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale debuting in less than a month in Japan, we don’t have long to wait before all is unveiled.
