With the Nintendo WiiU releasing next month, all eyes are on Sony and Microsft as we approach 2013.
While many have their own time table for the debut of new hardware, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter has provided his prediction for when Sony and Microsoft’s newest gaming consoles may see a release.
Nintendo will launch the Wii U on November 18, and, while neither Sony nor Microsoft has yet announced new hardware, we expect a PS4 no later than November 2013, and a next Xbox no later than March 2014.”
Despite the advent of the WiiU, Pachter doesn’t expect the new system to boost the industry too much this holiday season compared to 2011. That will happen when the PS4 or Next Xbox hits store shelves, he claims.
