Is Sucker Punch Crafting A PS4 Title?

If you’ve been paying close attention inFamous developer, Sucker Punch since development of inFamous 2 concluded, yo’re well aware that the stud is busy working on its “next big thing.” But could Sucker Punch’s newest unannounced project skip the PS3 in favor of Sony’s next piece of hardware?

A short time ago Sucker Punch tweeted something that perked our interest. During a brief conversation ( see below ) on the social network, Sucker Punch was coy in its response to a follower who predicts good things from the Washington based studio in the future.

Adding more fuel to the speculation on our part is the absence of a platform on the job openings provided on the Career portion of Sucker Punch’s website. Sometimes ( but not always ) developers include which console(s) their new project is being developed for. See this job listing provided by Media Molecule for example.

While this practice certainly isn’t a requirement we can’t help but wonder. If Sucker Punch was working on a new title for the PS3 why not say as much?

We may just be reading too much into an innocent tweet and Sucker Punch’s next title may just be for the PS3 however as Senior VP at Sony, Scott Rhodes commented a short while ago  “i think that anyone on the planet knows that [PS4] games are in development.”
