For the first time since its Tokyo Game Show announcement we discover who’s behind the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX for the PS3.
Coming as no surprise, series creator Tetsuya Nomura is directing the project as he has done with all Kingdom Hearts games in the past. In the co-director’s seat is Tai Yasue, and the producer is Rie Nishi. Both have worked on previous titles in the series, including Re:Chain of Memories, Birth by Sleep, and Dream Drop Distance.
We’ve also learned that the team is touching up the controls and gameplay for the original Kingdom Hearts so that the game will feel closer to Kingdom Hearts II. They are also experimenting with changes to the character models in the games so that they resemble the designs used for Dream Drop Distance released on the 3DS earlier this year.
70% of all the cutscenes in 358/2 Days’ main story will also be fully voiced 3D scenes in HD.
