Kojima Productions shared unexpected news earlier today when it announced that the Xbox 360 version of the Platinum Games’ Metal Gear Rising Revengeance had been canceled in Japan.
Neither party involved with the project have provided a reason for this move. But one could speculate that poor hardware sales of Microsoft’s console in the country may have played a role in the decision to canned the 360 version.
Nevertheless, those living outside of Japan need not worry. Eurogamer is reporting that Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is still on track for a multiplatform release in North America and Europe next February.
