Capcom Plans To Ensure That No One Forgets Remember Me

Once known as Adrift ( and a PS3 exclusive ), DONTNOD Entertainment’s science fiction adventure title set in a distant future has found a new home at Capcom under the name of Remember Me.

Capcom believes the new IP has quite the potential and is willing to prove it by investing a healthy marketing campaign into the game.

“When Dontnod showed us their content it really jumped out,” said Capcom’s US and Europe marketing chief Michael Pattison.

“And we couldn’t not work with them. It is to a view that this will be a long-term partnership with them. This is Capcom’s IP. We do intend to work on it for a long time to come.

“It is something that we see as having a long-term future, and we are investing in accordingly.”

Set in Neo-Paris, 2084 Remember Me is a 3rd person action adventure where players take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories.

The authorities, fearful of her knowledge and capabilities have arrested Nilin and wiped her memory clean. After her escape from prison, Nilin sets out on a mission to recover her identity, helped by her last and only friend. This search for her past leads to her being hunted by the very people that created this surveillance society.

Remember Me is scheduled to ship for the PS3 and 360 next May.
