31 cases of PlayStation Vita systems burning during recharging has prompted a Japanese agency to investigate Sony’s new handheld. According to reports, 23 of the reported incidents were in Japan and eight were in North America, the United Kingdom and Australia.
A recall for the hardware won’t be ordered since the issue is not related to a product malfunction, claims Sony. The company believes that the problem is with people having liquids or other objects inserted in the connection. Those who ended up with a burnt out connector will have to pay to get it fixed.
