Four years after the game’s release Metal Gear Solid 4 is officially joining the trophy club. According to a Famitsu interview with series creator Hideo Kojima, the trophy patch is the first announcement leading up to a special Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary event set to kick off in Tokyo on August 30th.
In Japan, a ”PlayStation 3 The Best” budget version of MGS4 ( which includes trophy support ) will go on sale in August. A trophy patch for current owners of Metal Gear Solid 4 is expected to go live next month as well.
There’s no official word yet if this patch will be offered for MGS 4 owners around the world as of yet but we’re pretty sure it’s going to happen.
