Just a few weeks after Sony hinted at an slimmer PS3 model a filing with the Federal Communications Commission appears to confirm a new hardware design is coming.
The documents illustrate a new “super slim” version of the PS3 carrying the 4000 series label. Current PS3s are designated as 3000. Eurogamer is reporting that the new PS3 model will be revealed during Gamescom next month. However Sony has declined to comment on the matter.
