Capcom Expects Resident Evil 6 To Be Its Biggest Hit, DmC Confirmed For 2012 Release

Capcom anticipates huge sales for the sixth direct installment of the Resident Evil franchise.

The company expects sales of Resident Evil 6 to top its predecessor with 7 million copies sold worldwide by the end of the fiscal year. Revealing that the DmC reboot is on track for a 2012 debut, Capcom believes that Ninja Theory’s take on the franchise will move 2 million copies.

The company expects sales of the above titles to boost year-to-date earnings.

Capcom also hopes to boost sales of downloadable content with additional quests for its new IP, Dragon’s Dogma,  shipping this month, new maps and modes for Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City and additional content for Street Fighter x Tekken.
