Lost Planet 3 Producer Shares Additional Gameplay Details

During a podcast starring Lost Planet 3 producer Andrew Szymanski and franchise creative director Kenji Oguro additional information about the recently revealed prequel was shared.

-Mass Effect 1 & 2 composer Jack Wall is supplying music for Lost Planet 3.

-While in his Rig Jim plays his favorite music. Jack Wall’s scores for the game can be heard outside of the Rig.

-Messages between Jim and his wife Grace will be shown to mask loading screens.

-There will be a mix of returning and new multiplayer modes in the game.

-The requirement for players to replenish their thermal energy level has been axed. Thermal energy can be drilled, picked up or dropped by defeated enemies & can be used as currency for upgrades and items.

- Lost Planet 3 will be less linear than previous games.

-Lost Planet 3 realizes Kenji Oguro initial vision of the franchise.

Szymanski promises to reveal more about the game’s multiplayer modes in the coming months. Although he didn’t provide an exact date this will likely take place at E3 2012 in June. Developed by Spark Unlimited and published by Capcom, Lost Planet 3 will arrive early next year for the PS3, 360 and PC.
