No Changes To Virtua Fighter Akira’s Character Commands In Dead or Alive 5

Sega’s disciplined fighter Akira Yuki may be joining the cast of Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive 5 this September but don’t expect him to adapt similar controls of other characters in the game.

Team Ninja’s Yousuke Hayashi revealed that Akira’s challenging character commands found in Virtua Fighter will go untouched in Dead or Alive 5. Utilizing a Chinese martial art known as Bājíquán Akira isn’t a character that casual players can just pick up and play.

However those who may have mastered him from their time with Virtua Fighter should be happy to hear this news.

Hayashi also revealed that it was he who approached Sega about using the character in DOA5 and because of the trouble of holding this collaboration, Akira may not be the only character in the game.
