Today in Japan Namco Bandai Holdings announced plans to merge it’s existing video game studios into one.
Called the Namco Bandai Studios Inc futures projects, including Tekken, Soul Calibur, Tales of, Gundam and others will all be developed under this new studio beginning April 2nd.
It will house over 1,000 staff, including the 80 people that were absorbed from Namco Tales Studio earlier this year.
Namco Bandai Holdings stated in a press release that splitting Namco Bandai Games’ development functionality into a single company will lead to “speedier and more optimized development, while also helping to better foster developer skill and creativity.”
