The fan reaction to the rebooted Metal Gear Rising:Revengence has been mixed since the game was unveiled during the VGAs December 10th. Previously the spin-off was going to combined a bit of stealth and a bit of action but with Platinum Games taking the title in an all out action direction some Metal Gear fans have expressed their discontent with Rising.
For those fans series creator Hideo Kojima reassured them that stealth action will return in the main Metal Gear titles.
“For those who are hoping for a stealth style MGS, this will definitely appear at some point, so please wait for a true sequel.”
Metal Gear Rising is set a few years after Metal Gear Solid 4 where we find Raiden fighting against the rise of cyborg technology. Look for the game to arrive on the PS3 and 360 in 2012.
