Capcom’s bargain priced update to the successful Marvel vs Capcom 3 doesn’t appear to be performing as well as its predecessor.
According to data provided by VGChartz, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 failed to break the top 30 chart during its debut week in North America. In comparison, Marvel vs Capcom 3 sold over 200k copies during it’s first week on sale earlier this year.
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 was up against some stiff competition for the month of Novmeber which could explain the lackluster sales.

In Japan Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 ranked in 10th place during its launch week selling just over 22k copies. A more accurate sales numbers for UMvsC3 and other tiles will likely be supplied when NPD releases its monthly sales data in December.
