This past week in Taiwan Sony Computer Entertainment ( SCE ) announced a December 23rd release date for the PlayStation Vita for the region, however that announcement may have been overshadowed by the company’s new spokeswoman ( and popular Taiwanese celebrity ) by the name of Rainie Yan who may have unintentionally stole the show during a recent PlayStation Vita Press Conference in Taiwan, in a bad way.
When asked about her favorite PlayStation game, Yan responded with Super Mario Brothers. Now you and I both know that as a Nintendo franchise, Mario has never stepped foot on a Sony platform but it appears this fact slipped Yan’s mind during the conference.
To make matters worse when she became aware that her answer wasn’t the right one ( due to the response from the crowd ) Yan starting posing for the cameras and picked up a PS Vita, only to further embarrass herself by holding the handheld upside down.
Note to Sony: Next time, choose your spokespeople more carefully.
