Hideki Kamiya Responds to Ninja Theory’s DMC

[Update] Update from Kamiya’s twitter page:

Hello all foreign fans. Recently I got lots of comments like “Dante has changed”, and someone said I was not too fond of newest Dante. But it’s not true.”Dante has changed”…that’s right. But from my point of view Dante has changed every time the sequel came out, and he was always different from whom I created first. So why don’t you wait and see how their new trial will be same as usual…? (sorry about my poor English )

Kamiya-san has class but I personally still hate the new DMC and have no interest in it.

Moving on….

[Original Story]We’ve already heard reactions from fans around the world regarding Capcom and Ninja Theory’s new take on the Devil May Cry franchise but what does Hideki Kamiya ( the man who started the series nearly a decade ago ) think about the drastic new Dante?

Some of his followers have brought up the subject on Hideki Kamiya’s  Twitter account. Here’re some of his responses:

Devil May Cry was originally created and directed by Hideki Kamiya back in 2000.  Kamiya-san left Capcom to work with Sega and is now working on a sequel to his new creation, Bayonetta.

How diplomatic of Kamiya-san. Still doesn’t change the fact that DmC is an insult to and dare I say even a bastardization of his original brain-child. I don’t know, maybe this is just Vergil’s final revenge?? Muahaha. Nope even Vergil would hate this.
