Wild Arms Composer Working On “Top Secret RPG”

Wild Arms composer Michiko Naruke is very passionate about her work and the rpg genre. She’s worked on the Wild Arms series since the franchise’s PS2 days. Speaking to 1UP recently Michiko Naruke spoke briefly about her next project and how she hopes to keep the rpg genre alive.

First of all, I’m working very hard on this one. This top secret project is an RPG, a genre that I earnestly hope will survive the natural selection processes of the game industry. I don’t want role-playing games to become a relic of an earlier time. For people like me who love RPGs, rest assured that I will do my best to support this category of game.

Even though no platform was given for her new project, I wonder if the secret rpg Michiko Naruke is making music for has any connections to early news reports surrounding Wild Arms.

Music from spaghetti western rpg will be performed by the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra during the Press Start concert in Japan this month.
