Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada may be the man behind Tekken but that hasn’t stopped him from replying to questions by Soul Calibur fans regarding the possibilities of the next installment of the franchise. While he hasn’t made anything official, Harada-san today has released new, bits of information about the chances of another Soul Calibur game.

This is merely an update. I told my team today about the SC5 petition. Don’t jump the gun, nothing’s happening yet.
The last Soul Calibur game, Soul Calibur 4, has sold over 2million copies worldwide since it’s 2008 release so I’m pretty confident that we’ll see another game in the successful franchise at some point.

*sigh* even if the petition works, it takes teams about 2 years to develop a game unless i am mistaken. So unless development is already underway it’ll be a while before we see or hear anything bout a new soul calibur.
Better than nothing I guess. But even with the announcement of a new soul calibur they still got their work cut out seeing as how 4 was bordering on being garbage.
I’d prefer to wait 2 years than 4-6.
well the truth is the director of SC4 said SC4 will be the last SC fighting game.
And then we saw SC4 on PsP featuring Kratos.
Regardless, we just want a SC action Adventure- I vote for Hack n Slash.
Soul Calibur Legends moved to that particular path but was a failure game and did not execute very well.
