For those who may have forgotten, back in March PS3 owners with original models of the system were left in the dark for 24 hours when the internal clock expected 2010 to be a leap year. Since it wasn’t, the system shutdown and gamers were advised not to turn on their ‘fat’ PS3 until they corrected themselves, which took 24hrs.
Crafty gamers with nothing else to do during the downtime came up with several names for the 24hr PS3 blackout. Some were “the day the PS3s stood still” , “Apocalyps3″, “I survived the Apocalyps3″ and “it only does self-resurrection.”
Fortunately gamers won’t have to worry about the chances of this event happening again . The latest firmware update is already loaded with several excellent features but now word on the street is that the update also brings an unnannounced fix to that notorious ‘time bug’.
